Most people arrive in Fiji with one picture in their head: white sand, a hammock, water the colour of glass. Fiji obliges. But the difference between a lovely Fijian holiday and one you talk about for a decade is almost never the brochure — it is which island, which villa on that island, which week of the year, and who is waiting on the jetty when your boat pulls in.
Belinda has stayed at, inspected or personally placed guests in nearly every luxury property across the Mamanuca and Yasawa groups, the Coral Coast, the private-island collection and the far north. She knows which resort has genuinely adults-only water, which kids' club is a real programme rather than a room with crayons, and which villa numbers are worth the upgrade.

Manta season in the Yasawa channels
October to March, giant mantas glide the channels. Belinda arranges the early small-boat run with guides who know individual rays by their wing markings.
A private sandbar lunch
One boat, one reef, a table set on a sandbank that disappears with the tide. Nothing about it is shared with another guest.
Meke and lovo at Vomo
Traditional dance and storytelling, then a feast drawn from the earth oven. Arranged as an evening, not a floorshow.
Vow renewal on the beach
A choir, a celebrant, bare feet and about eleven minutes of ceremony. Belinda has placed more of these than she can count.
Reef diving with the family
Resort courses for the children, proper wall dives for the adults, and a dive team briefed on your certification level before you land.

Every month has its Fiji.
- May – OctThe dry season. Cool evenings, exceptional visibility, peak demand — book villas nine to twelve months out.
- Nov – MarWarm and lush, resorts quieter, manta season at its peak. Occasional heavy afternoon rain that clears by dusk.
- AprilThe shoulder nobody talks about. Often the most beautiful and best-value fortnight of the entire year.
