Belinda Hackett has spent thirty years in and around Fiji — walking barefoot through resorts before they open for the season, sitting with village chiefs, learning which channel the mantas visit in which week. That accumulated, unglamorous fieldwork is what earned her Matai Fiji Gold Specialist accreditation.
Her clients are considered travellers: couples marking an anniversary, families composing a once-in-a-decade holiday, seasoned island-goers who no longer accept a merely lovely trip. What they share is a wish for someone else to hold the details, quietly and well.
Beyond Fiji she plans a small, deliberate collection — the Maldives, Cook Islands, Tahiti, Thailand, Bali, Vanuatu and Hawaii. Small on purpose. She only sells places she can speak about from memory.
